62 . . . It’s My Birthday

I’ve never been one to “land on a year” and stay there.  Jack Benny did it with 39.  I’ve known others to do it with 40 and 50.  None of the decadal years scared me or made me feel like I was getting older.  Really . . . that’s true.

Last year I turned 62.  There’s something about that year that appeals to me.  I don’t know why.  When you add 6 and 2 together, you get 8.  I’ve been told by a numerologist that 8 is a good thing.  Maybe that’s it.

I like 62.  I don’t know why.  Sixty-three doesn’t scare me or make me feel old either.

If you ask me today, I’m 62.  Live with it!
